RIP 21: Remembering Agnès Varda

July 12, 2019

Arlette Varda (1928 - 2019) better known as Agnès was a French filmmaker making movies from her own perspective in a male dominated industry. Her background in photography, a natural affection for more experimental art, and a spontaneous passion to tell a story led her becoming one of the major voices of the Left Bank Cinema and earning her the title of The Grandmother of The New Wave.
